So it's been almost forever since I last did anything on here save check the ROFL thread so I figured it's about time for an update for the 7 people on this site who know I exist . As those 7 may know I've been trying my hand at stand-up comedy the last few months. Things kind of got off to a rocky start in the whole mix and I have to say I appreciated some of the input that lp had given in the past.
Anyway, a few months ago I entered in a comedy competition one of the clubs was having for the city. After luckily bringing enough people to scream for me in the preliminary rounds, and actually preparing some decent material for the Semi-Finals, I've made it to the Finals.
Over 60 comics gave it their best and now it's just down to 8 funny bastards, and I am one of those bastards. $1500 is at stake for the winner :D <--hopeful smile.
The show is less than 2 weeks away, 7-13-11, I doubt any of you can make it considering the vast array of different countries this site represents, so the chances of anybody on here being within reasonable driving distance to Grand Rapids, Michigan is almost nil. So I guess I'm posting this here because everyone on facebook is sick of me talking about it and myspace is stupid.
Anywho, I'm excited. You're probably not, but can be, so do it. Here is the video of me not losing in the Semi Finals earlier this week. Quality isn't superb, but it was free .
